LIVING BY THE SPIRIT
Most people are afraid of living by the Spirit; they prefer to live according to certain rules. Men would rather live by the law, because it causes them to know right from wrong quite easily. By the law, men can know where they should go and not go, what they ought to do and not do. But the problem with the law is this: when pelple conduct themselves according to the law, they have put God behind their backs.
God does not want us merely to keep the dead letter of His Word. He takes pleasure in having us continually pray before Him and quietly wait on Him to supply our every need. He does not want us to rely on any "thing," because it gives Him joy when we rely solely upon Him.
Galatians 3:11 - "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The Just shall live by faith."
