What Is Faith?

 

 

Hebrews 11:1 KJV- Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

 

Comments

 

• Hope- The confident expectancy that something good is going to happen
• We start of with hope(the thing we are hoping for).
• What is substance?- That which is not subject to decay or which will not perish.
• Substance is the Word of God.
• Find where God's Word applies to your hope and that(God's Word) becomes the substance.
• Evidence of things not seen-the assurance or conviction that I know that I possess it NOW!

Examples

 

Hope-               I hope to be free from fear and crazy thoughts.

 

Substance-      2Tim. 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of  power, and of love and a sound mind.

 

Evidence-         I am free of fear and crazy thoughts right now!
