Spiritual Miscarriage

(Read Revelation 1 & 4)

Ezekiel 44:10-13 10“But the Levites who went far from Me when Israel went astray, who went astray from Me after their idols, shall bear the punishment for their iniquity. 11“Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, having oversight at the gates of the house and ministering in the house; they shall slaughter the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them. 12“Because they ministered to them before their idols and became a stumbling block of iniquity to the house of Israel, therefore I have sworn against them,” declares the Lord GOD, “that they shall bear the punishment for their iniquity. 13“And they shall not come near to Me to serve as a priest to Me, nor come near to any of My holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they will bear their shame and their abominations which they have committed.

(There were a group of Levites, which were the priests which left the Lord’s side. These priests probably never served the Lord with their whole hearts because they also ministered idols and God says of these priests that they will not come near Him or near holy things nor into the most holy place because their hearts were far from Him.)

Ezekiel 44:15-16 15“But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept charge of My sanctuary when the sons of Israel went astray from Me, shall come near to Me to minister to Me; and they shall stand before Me to offer Me the fat and the blood,” declares the Lord GOD. 16“They shall enter My sanctuary; they shall come near to My table to minister to Me and keep My charge.
Zechariah 3:7 7“Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here.

(These priests are granted free access into the courts of the Lord. God’s courts are in heavenly places before His throne. Those who overcome the spirit of the world everyday and press into God, He will grant that they come into the courts of the Lord.)

Revelation 1:5-6 5and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood— 6and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 4:1 1After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.”

(God is telling us to ‘come up here’ and meet with Him. Why does God grant free access to His throne, to the priests who truly serve Him with all their hearts? For no other reason than to experience intimacy with Him! Out of this heavenly lifestyle of intimacy with God we get to carry the atmosphere of heaven to others that they might experience Him. When we spend time standing in the council of God in heavenly realms, we can then bring that atmosphere of heaven back with us and impact the people of the world with God’s glory. THE FLOW OF HEAVEN MUST NOT BE HINDERED!)

1 Samuel 2:12,17,22,34,35 12Now the sons of Eli were £worthless men; they did not know the LORD 17Thus the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for the men despised the offering of the LORD.22Now Eli was very old; and he heard all that his sons were doing to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who served at the doorway of the tent of meeting. 34‘This will be the sign to you which will come concerning your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas: on the same day both of them will die. 35‘But I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and in My soul; and I will build him an enduring house, and he will walk before My anointed always.

(In the days of Eli the word of the Lord was rare and there was no widespread revelation. The priests were not hearing from God because the mixture of the world had crept into the lives of the priesthood.)

Jeremiah 3:1 1 God says, “If a husband divorces his wife And she goes from him And belongs to another man, Will he still return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted? But you are a harlot with many lovers; Yet you turn to Me,” declares the LORD.

We are to have only one lover in our lives and that is to be Jesus Christ! Yet today we still have the same problem Israel did in the days of Jeremiah – ‘God’s people are settling for lesser lovers’ rather than embracing the One supreme lover of our souls!
