Spiritual Miscarriage - 2

(Read Psalm 63 & 71)

Leviticus 10:8-10 8The LORD then spoke to Aaron, saying, 9“Do not drink wine or strong drink, neither you nor your sons with you, when you come into the tent of meeting, so that you will not die—it is a perpetual statute throughout your generations— 10and so as to make a distinction between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean,

The wine symbolizes the numbing effects of the world. The wine here speaks of anything of the world that would numb us of the voice and presence of God, and therefore hinder heaven’s flow in.

Hebrews 12:28-29 28Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; 29for our God is a consuming fire.

(By His very nature God is a consuming fire. When we touch or are touched by God we are also touched by His fire. We need God to touch us with His fire so that our “lesser lovers”, secret sins, and idols will be consumed and all that would remain is a burning passion for Him.)

Malachi 3:1-3 1“Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming,” says the LORD of hosts. 2“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. 3“He will sit as a smelter and purifier of silver, and He will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that they may present to the LORD offerings in righteousness.

(Fuller’s soap consisted of lye, white clay and ashes of special plants and was used in the cleaning or dying of cloth. It is a metaphor for purity. We say we want God to touch us but do we know what that means? Our God is truly a refiner’s fire and He is coming to purify the sons of Levi. Under the new covenant the sons of Levi (the priesthood) is represented by the born-again believer.)

Isaiah 4:2-6 2In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the adornment of the survivors of Israel. 3It will come about that he who is left in Zion and remains in Jerusalem will be called holy—everyone who is recorded for life in Jerusalem. 4When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, 5then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. 6There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain.

(When we allow God’s purging fire to touch us He will place a covering of glory over our lives to protect us from the spirit of the world. There is a protection when we live in God’s purging fire.)

Song of Solomon 8:6 6 “Put me like a £seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD.

(This verse says that the fire of love is actually the very flame of God. The best part about God’s fire is His fire of love. When we are touched by His fire He not only purges the dross out of our lives but He also consumes us with the fire of holy passion. God is looking to pull out His glory on the people who are consumed with one desire.)

Song of Solomon 1:15 15“£How beautiful you are, my darling, How beautiful you are!Your eyes are like doves.”

Matthew 15:23-28 23But He did not answer her a word. And His disciples came and implored Him, saying, “Send her away, because she keeps shouting at us.” 24But He answered and said, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25But she came and began to bow down before Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26And He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” 27But she said, “Yes, Lord; but even the dogs feed on the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28Then Jesus said to her, “O woman, your faith is great; it shall be done for you as you wish.” And her daughter was healed at once.

The Shulammite is praised because she has doves eyes. A dove has no peripheral vision. A dove cannot see anything except what is right in front of it. Jesus praised the Syrophoenician woman because she had nothing in her vision or heart but Him and Him alone.

Revelation 1:14 His head and hair were whit like wool, as withe as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire.
2 Chronicles 16:9 9“For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars.”

(Jesus is described as having eyes like flames of fire. He is looking for those whose hearts are opened and turned toward Him.)

Psalm 24 1The earth is the LORD’S, and £all it contains, The world, and those who dwell in it.2For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the rivers.3Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And has not sworn deceitfully.5He shall receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation.6This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah.7 Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, O £ancient doors,That the King of glory may come in!8Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.9Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, O £ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah.

(We do not become holy by obeying a set of rules. We become holy or set apart, by drawing close to our God who is a holy consuming fire, by His grace we will refine the world out of our life. He will burn up all the junk and filth of the world and set us on the highway of holiness. He will put us in a place where you can lift up your head without shame. So that the King of Glory may come in!)

Exodus 27:20-21 20“You shall charge the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually. 21“In the tent of meeting, outside the veil which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD; it shall be a perpetual statute throughout their generations for the sons of Israel.

Leviticus 6:12-13 12‘The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it. It shall not go out, but the priest shall burn wood on it every morning; and he shall lay out the burnt offering on it, and offer up in smoke the fat portions of the peace offerings on it. 13‘Fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it is not to go out.

Every morning the priests were to put fresh wood on the alter to ensure that the flame did not weaken in any way but continued to burn bright. They were to keep the lamp burning continually and never let it go out. We are supposed to be tending our lamp and stoking our fire i.e. stirring it up and supplying it with fuel, every morning and throughout the day.

Affirmations:

I want to minister the precious things of heaven.

I want to carry the power and anointing of the kingdom of God.

I set myself on God’s alter today to allow myself to be consumed by His fire of purging and His fire of love.

I refuse to allow the move of God in me to be mis-carried.
