WALKING IN THE SPIRIT - 6 (OF 18)

Hebrews 10:14 - "For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy."

There is no demonic power on the inside of me that makes me sin.

Romans 7:14,15 -  "We know that the law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh (carnal, unspiritual), having been sold into slavery under the control of sin. For I do not understand my own actions (I am baffled, bewildered), I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe (which my moral instinct condemns)."

The Christian life is impossible to live in the flesh. It is possible to be carnal and be born-again. 

Romans 7:22,23 - "For I joyfully concur with the Law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members."

Trying to please God outside of the spirit – through the flesh – senses.

Romans 8:4 -  "so that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit."

You do not improve your flesh; you live from your spirit instead of your flesh. You cannot deny your flesh to walk in the spirit.

Romans 8:5 -  "For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the spirit, the things of the spirit."

What is your attention on? What is your focus?

Romans 12:2 -  "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

We put on the Spirit and renew our minds to the Spirit.

CARNAL (i.e. FLESH) – Thinking that is governed by human nature instead of the Spirit of God.

FLESH – All that is not under the control of the Spirit.

Affirmations:

I live and walk in the spirit. (Galatians 5:25)

I put on the Lord Jesus, and make no provision for the flesh. (Romans 13:14)

It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing the words that I speak unto you, they are Spirit and they are life. (John 6:63)
