2 Corinthians 1:8,9 - “For we do not want you to be unaware, brethren, of our affliction which came to us in Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life; indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead;”

Paul didn’t break, and he didn’t die!  Likewise, if you hold on and fight right where you are, you also won’t break or be destroyed!  God’s delivering power is yours!  He has rescued you in the past; He will rescue you now, and He will rescue you again and again in the future.

All He asks is that you “stay put” right where He called you – refusing to move, rejecting every temptation to give up, and deciding to never give in to the pressure that the devil wants to pile on top of you.

If you’ll be faithful and wage war with the power and armor of God, you’ll discover that God will be with you all the way through to a successful conclusion.

Acts 20:24 - “But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus.”

Whatever your revealed purpose in Christ, you will be energized by opening your mind to ideas, and closing the narrow mental corridors of convention and sameness. Life in the Spirit has much to offer, and pursuing your destiny can be exciting and thrilling. But it also requires your entire being.

Destiny chasers engage every fiber of their being in following the path God has set before them. They are not bored or lazy or negative – they remind themselves why they are on this journey.

When you want to be your best and do your best for God, you keep moving past the humps. You find the energy to re-engage in your purpose, and you remember that your calling is greater than you.

James 4:2,3 - “You have not because you ask not. You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss.”

What does it mean to pray wrong?  In many cases, it simply means to pray without expecting results. Many Believers use prayer as a kind of spiritual wishbone. Start praying to in the Name of Jesus according to the Word of God, and expecting to receive what you ask for every single time – this is bold and you have a scriptural right to be bold.

According to scripture, you have a standing invitation from your heavenly Father to “come boldly unto the throne of grace that you MAY OBTAIN” (Hebrews 4:16). That word “obtain” is a word of certainty meaning to “get possession of.”

When you go to God in accurate, Word of God-based, Spirit-inspired prayer, you DO know that He’s going to meet your need exactly as you asked Him. Start expecting Him to do it today.

Ephesians 3:19 - “Be filled with all the fullness of God."

We want our whole being to be so full of the life of Jesus that the Holy Spirit can speak and act through us. We want the Word in our heart and the faith it produces. We want to live always in Him.

We cry out for the inspiration of the God of power. We want to act in the Holy Spirit. We want to breathe out divine life. We want the glory, miracles, and wonders that work out the purpose of God for our life.

We want to be absorbed by God, and we want to know nothing among men except Jesus and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2).

2 Timothy 1:7 - “for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."

The innocent desire you have to protect yourself will cost you dearly when it comes to walking with God. It infected the Israelites to such a degree that they forgort the signs and wonders (Exodus 14:11). Suddenly they saw themselves as just people again - - not people with whom God dwells, but just people.

Satan will get you into a natural rather than a supernatural perspective – that you are just a natural person. That’s why you need to think with the mind of Christ.

Affirm and meditate on His Word continually. Speak it to your problems…and watch faith rise up. Then you’ll have the right perspective and victory will be yours!

Romans 8:11 - “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.“

As the dead body of Christ was given life and brought out by the Holy Spirit, may we be given eyes to see and ears to hear and a tongue to speak as the oracles of God. "If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God” (1 Peter 4:11).

We are dependent on the Holy Spirit to breath through us. It is by the Spirit of the Lord giving vent, speaking through us. We live in the latter days when God is pouring forth His Spirit, and rivers of power are available at our word. We need to live by Mark 11:22,23 - “Have faith in  God…Whoever…believes…will have whatever he says.”

Let God arise. Let God breathe His Holy Spirit through your nature, through your eyes and tongue – the supernatural in the natural for the glory of God.

Luke 6:22,23 - “Blessed are you when men shall hate you…for the Son of man’s sake.  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy for your reward is great in heaven…"

When persecution comes, when friends or family criticize you because you love Jesus, and aren’t afraid to say so, rejoice! Shout hallelujah and leap for joy!

Paul said, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).”

Get caught up in producing fruit through advancing in God’s purpose for your life. Get caught up in the glorious hope that’s ahead. For that hope is enough to make anyone – under any circumstance – leap for joy!

Psalm 32:8 - “The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you."

Sometimes you may look around and see that things have changed and that you need to move in another direction.  While your vision is still the same, the provisions God is using to bring about that vision have changed.

And now, in order to continue moving in God’s purpose for your life, you will have to employ new tactics and venture on a new path. Change is not easy. Don’t allow your fear of moving and changing get in the way of your destiny.

This is where it is important to keep your eyes open and your heart open to advancing in the next step in God’s calling on your life.

1 Thessalonians 4:13 - “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them who are asleep, that you SORROW NOT, even as others who have no hope…Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again…”

We have seen grief and sorrow as such a natural part of life that we haven’t even questioned them – there are times when we actually want to feel sad and sorry for ourselves. But grief and sorrow are dangerous things.

The force behind these emotions are actually spirit beings sent by the devil himself to kill, steal and destroy.  Jesus bore grief and sorrow (Isaiah 53) so we wouldn’t have to. If they come knocking on your door, remember they are not innocent emotions. They are deadly enemies that Jesus carried away at Calvary.

Don’t live as those who have no hope. You’re a believer. You know that Jesus Christ died for you and rose again – it gives you hope in every situation.  Sorrow not!

John 15:4 - “Live in me, and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.”

God created you to exalt and bring glory to His name. When you bear fruit, God is glorified. His name is exalted whenever you use the abilities He stored in you. From His storehouse of riches, God will supply all you can imagine, and more because He wants you to fulfill His purpose for your life.

So long as you live in the vine and submitted to the discipline of the Gardner, you will know God’s blessings and will bear abundant fruit that remains.

Your calling in Christ requires a relationship with its Source. God works hard to keep us hooked up with Him. He wants His glory to fill the earth through us.
