Scripture Of The Day -- GET YOUR HOPES UP

"I have strength for anything through him who gives me power." - Philipppians 4:13 NEB

The world says, "Don't get your hopes up!"
God is all about HOPE and FAITH, and if we don't get our hopes up, we cannot please Him.

"Hope deferred make the heart sick" (Proverbs 13:12). That is why we must encourage one another with words of faith and HOPE!!!

Many times when others share"words of encouragement" they can actually be discouraging. They do not mean to discourage , but their belief of what God will do for us and what we can accomplish through Christ are based on THEIR level of faith.

But believe -- "I can do ALL things through Christ" (Philippians 4:13)KJV -- That means ALL THINGS!!!

Scripture Of The Day - BORN OF THE SPIRIT

"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14 NIV).

We must live lives of radical holiness, no matter the consequences – but don't confuse holiness with man-made legalism. True holiness is born of the law of the Spirit and produces overflowing life and peace, while religious legalism is born of the letter of the law and produces only barrenness and death. Remember, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (see 2 Corinthians 3:17).

Invoke David's prayer to ask God to create within you a pure, clean heart (see Psalm 51:6), knowing that God is faithful and just to cleanse us from all unrighteousness and sin (see 1 John 1:9). He freely gives us the clean heart we desire (see Psalm 51:10).

Lift up your head and rejoice! Reject sin and shame, knowing you have been forgiven. You have been given a fresh start in Christ our righteousness.

Scripture Of The Day - BOLD AS A LION

"The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion" (Proverbs 28:1).

The righteous are bold as a lion. This truth helps to unlock the mystery of our chronic, spiritual weakness and daily struggles to become Christlike.

. What is that mystery?

It is a mystery that the devil, the foe of our soul, knows – and a truth that few Believers understand. If the righteous are bold as a lion, then it follows that purity produces power! What else follows? The corollary truth: If purity produces power, then sin produces weakness.

In light of this truth, what is the devil's strategy? He seeks to sidetrack us into as much contamination as he possibly can to render us powerless in the Kingdom of God. Sin brings shame, and shame produces timidity and fear.

WALKING IN THE FLESH AS CARNAL CHRISTIANS

If we lack power, we lack holiness. We may have received Christ's righteousness imputed to us at our salvation, but we are still walking in the flesh as carnal Christians. A lack of demonstrated power is a testimony to our carnality.

The Word tells us, "As He is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17).

IF WE ARE NOT:

Christlike – loving like Christ,
thinking like Christ,
doing the works of Christ, and
walking in our DESTINY like Christ – then we have a sin problem.

Scripture Of The Day - FINDING OUR DELIGHT IN THE HEART OF GOD

Psalm 37:4 says, "Take delight in the LORD, and He will give you your heart's desires."

When we were made one with God, through Jesus Christ, the very desires of our heart had the potential to reflect the same desires that reside in God's heart. This is possible because the Holy Spirit – God – lives within us.

Psalm 37:4 says that once our focus is on the Lord – delighting in Him – then our heart is in a place to actually desire the same things God desires. We must "take" our delight and deposit it in God.

If our delight is placed elsewhere, then our desires will be birthed from the limitations of our own self-provision or from a kingdom that stands in direct opposition to God. In the end, we will begin to worry like an unbeliever because we have disconnected ourselves from a place of trust.

Scripture Of The Day -- THE VOICE OF ONE

In Luke 3:2 that the Word of God came to John the Baptist while he was alone in the wilderness? The programs of the "church" of that day were in full operation, yet John was called apart to be with the Lord alone.

So also today, there are those who are spiritually hungry and seeking something more, who likewise are being called apart to be alone with the Lord for a time of preparation. As a result of his being alone with the Lord, John came into a oneness with the Lord that could not have been accomplished in any other way.

When John was asked who he was, his response testifies to this experience. He said: "I am 'The voice of one crying in the wilderness:"Make straight the way of the Lord," as the prophet Isaiah said'" (John 1:23).

Each one of us should come to the place where we also could make this statement, "I am the voice of one." There is an urgent need for this "voice" to cry out in the midst of the frustrations and perils of our present day (see Isaiah 40:3-5). We live in a world that must have the grace and peace of God.

May it be stated of us, as it was of the disciples of old, that it is apparent that we have been with Jesus. This and only this will make the changes that must occur if we are to reach this hurting world with the message of God's redemptive, transforming grace. We must be radical reflectors of His life.

AFFIRMATIONS:

I am not designed to drift - I am designed for DESTINY.

God has called me with a holy calling, not according to my works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to me in Christ Jesus before the world began.

Since I am in Christ I am in another reality and another life altogether.

Scripture Of The Day -- THAT I MAY KNOW HIM

"That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death...Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:10, 12

Within the visible Church is a smaller remnant who are seeking "something further" beyond their present spiritual experience. Thus, it can be said that there is a "Church within the Church," or spiritually speaking, a "people within a people."

STIRRED INTO A DEEPER PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

There are those who have a present active relationship with Jesus. Others are satisfied with the fact that they are saved, and someday will be in Heaven with Jesus. Not having a present, active, ongoing spiritual experience, they are satisfied with being a "spectator" of all that the Lord is doing through the lives of others, along with attending "the" service, once each week.

However, some are being stirred to enter into a deeper personal relationship with Jesus. This also was the desire of Paul, who said with heart intensity, "that I might intimately, personally, know Jesus." This prayer of desire to have an active, present relationship with Jesus should resonate within each of us.

Scripture Of The Day - CHRIST IN US

Luke 17:21 - "Behold, the kingdom of God is within you."

Striving to obtain love, peace and joy can be wasted in religious energy. The perception exists that God needs to be talked into doing things for us.

It is the realization of His presence and provision within us that sets us free to be who we are. The more aware we become of God in us, the more overwhelmed we are with a sense of total fulfillment and completeness.

Our needs and desires become insignificant as He increasingly becomes the significant center of our being. He is not a God who is a far off, He is God in us, with us, and for us in every moment.

Colossians 1:27 - "To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

Scripture Of The Day - WISDOM BY FAITH

Instead of asking God for direction, ask Him for wisdom.

James 1:5 - "If any of you need wisdom, you should ask God, and it will be given to you. God is generous and won't correct you for asking."

Too often we ask for direction when what we really need is wisdom. Should I go left or right? Should I leave this job for another? And so on. When you ask for wisdom instead of direction, you have an ongoing process where you receive not just information but Life itself.

Jesus is the wisdom of God (see 1 Corinthians 1:24). Direction often fixes just a one-time problem; wisdom allows us to handle any problem that comes our way.

Place your burden in His hands (see Matthew 11:28-30), then start thanking Him for His wisdom by faith. Childlike trust allows everything to fall into place (see Romans 8:28).

Scripture of the Day - WHAT HE CREATED US TO DO

Ephesians 1:4 - He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love.

Man is called to rest in God, but we must also labor with God. In this labor, we must find what He created us to do.

We were foreknown and chosen by God before the world was even created. The God who is so particular and specific also know what he created us for. We each have a very specific job to do - a very specific calling (DESTINY). We will never know a true peace and fulfilment in our hearts until we are doing our callings.

Affirmations

GOD HAS CREATED ME AND CALLED ME TO DO THE DEEPEST DESIRE OF MY HEART.

I REJECT THE EXPECTATIONS OF THE WORLD AND BEGIN TO DISCERN THE YOKE THAT GOD HAS CALLED ME TO CARRY.
