Scripture Of The Day – February 6, 2022

"Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." - James 1:6-8

Boldness is a missing ingredient in many lives.  Many believers struggle with such unworthiness and low self-worth that they cannot imagine God saying anything to them.  But the good news of the Gospel is that as believers, we are worthy and righteous -- we just did not have anything to do with it!

If we do not understand that we are coming to Him based on His righteousness,  we will pray unconvinced, as DOUBLE-MINDED people.  Religious teaching combined with the devil's strategy has convinced many Christians that they are unworthy and undeserving, so God would never speak to them.  Yet we are worthy for one reason -- that He has forgiven our sins and called us into relationship with Him.
