Ten Power Exhortations - January 7, 2019

As contradictory as it may seem, many true children of God remain dominated, for the most part, by the laws of their natural or carnal minds.
One reason the Church struggles so much today is that many Christians still think like the world, and thoughts give birth to actions.

For example, some say, "I won't believe it until I see it." This is the exact opposite of a spiritual mindset.
The natural mind says, "If I see, I will believe." The spiritual mind says, "If I believe, I will see." Paul clearly recognized our desperate need for a Spirit-enlightened mind, praying:

"...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power." (Ephesians 1:17–19)

You have to be unashamed of Jesus and confess Him daily as your Healer. You have to make Jesus your living Healer if you want Him to heal you.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

When we learn to trust the Lord, we then get a new and fresh perspective on things. It is like you had been in a box. As you learn to trust the Lord, you climb out of that box, seeing sunlight with the blue sky rather than darkness in the box. This is the way it works when we see as God sees.

He has blueprints for each of us that will release life, making us contagious with His love, presence, and CALLING.

When you ask for something in prayer, you have to start speaking about it as if it already exists.

It's time to break out. It's time to step on up and come out of the "house" into the streets. It's time to take authority over your circumstances. No more self-abasement, nor more thinking, "I can't do this." You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

Elijah's mission was to awaken the Israelites to their apostasy, backsliding, lukewarmness, and to call them back to loyalty to God. Are you a Reformer? Believe God for the impossible and you too like Elijah will transform lives.

"And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the Kingdom of Heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force (as a precious prize -- a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion)." AMP - Matthew 11:12

If we will make it our highest goal to receive from Him everything that He has for us -- God's PURPOSE for our life (our CALLING in Christ) -- we, like Jesus, will come out with power greater than we have ever known (see Luke 4:14).
Let's join Jesus in becoming the water (the Word) breathed upon by His wind (Holy Spirit) that we might, with Him, become the wave!

Acts 10:38 - "How God anointed Jesus....who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.."

The word "oppressed" is derived from a root word which means "press, to squeeze." The enemy is applying great pressure to cause us to go backwards. He does not desire that we "press in" for our deliverance and BREAKTHROUGH. There is also a strong attack from the enemy that would attempt to cause us to quit the race, throw in the towel, and not fulfill our DESTINY in Christ.
The Lord is opening a door in the high places as we are being called to "go up higher!" God is calling us to experience His glory, and to receive new levels of revelation, and to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit.

The Lord has already provided us with everything we will ever need: deliverance, healing, provision, protection, wisdom—we need only to believe Him for it (see Matthew 6).

John 1:38,39 -- Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, "What seek Ye?" They said unto Him, "Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest Thou?" He saith unto them, "Come and see."

Like James and John, we too, "Behold the Lamb of God." Just as He asked them, so He asks us, "What are you seeking?" It is possible to barely know Jesus because we never actually spend time seeking Him.

We know who we are in Christ without doubt or fear. We are sons and daughters of God by His marvelous grace. We have the Blood of Jesus flowing through us. By His Blood we overcome the darkness of this world. Too many in the Church have limited themselves and limited God by not understanding their inheritance in Christ and their right standing with God.

Colossians 1:27 - "...to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

The problem of distractions in prayer is universal. The best method of dealing with distractions is no method at all. Just ignore them and turn to the business at hand -- prayer -- again and again. Once you discover that you have been out of His presence, simply go back. Repeat the name of Jesus in faith. Do it a million times if necessary.
We are far too full of ourselves to be able to be filled with God. God can fill only "the hungry" with good things, while "the rich" he can only send away empty -- not because he withholds his love from the rich, but because the rich have no room for Him -- like the inn in Bethlehem.

"He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away." - Luke 1:53

Suffering is a test of faith. The reason is that while we are suffering, at first the suffering does not draw us closer to God but tempts us to turn away from Him and to concentrate wholly on ourselves, in fear or self-pity.
