Ten Power Exhortations - September 2, 2018

Jeremiah 20:9b - "But His word was in my heart like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, and I could not."

His word will be in your heart like a burning fire, shut up in your bones. You won't be able to hold it back. When the Word becomes as a burning fire in your heart and bones your focus will be on God's CALLING on your life and it won't be denied you.

With the workings of the Word in you, you'll become a slayer of any giant that stands in your way of your DESTINY. Even if there's a wall, you'll leap right over it, slaying the giants to bring forth the victory.

God has strategic connections for you. People are often encouraged to direct their faith toward specific things such as salvation for a family member, healing, deliverance or provision. Also exercise your faith for strategic connections. Ask God for them. Expect them to happen. And pray that you recognize them when they do happen. But don't be impatient. It is through faith and patience that we inherit the promises (Hebrews 6:12). When strategic connections happen, it is definitely worth the wait.

The realm of the Spirit is to be a perpetual state. He abides in us and we abide in Him. Yet we have conditioned ourselves to coming back and forth in the presence of God, rather than living by the reality that we are IN His presence.

"In Him we live, and move, and have our being." - Acts 17:28

Personal fulfillment can become an idol; it can develop into such an obsession that we are living for happiness more than living for God. Part of our salvation includes having our desires prioritized by Christ.
Mark 11:38 - "Whoever does not take up his cross and follow in my steps is not worthy of me."

Some of us have been told that it is offensive to "preach" to people, that it is rude to share the message of Christ. But it is the foolishness of the message when it is preached, proclaimed, or declared that God saves those who believe.
Romans 10:21 - "God decided to save those who believe, by means of the "foolish" message we preach."

If you didn't receive that thing that you were looking for from God, then spend that time hunting what the Scriptures say are promised to you rather than hollering, "Oh, God, why me?"
Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the Word of God."

The risen Christ must live His life in us and be our all, or His words only make an outward sound upon our ears and a passing image in our minds, while our hearts remain empty of His life and power.
Matthew 22:29 - "Jesus replied, You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God."

Without the gate-opener of praise and thanksgiving, we are left in a place of stagnation. The river of God's Life is dammed up because of our lack of appreciation for what He has done and is doing.
Psalm 29:1,2 - "Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto His name."

"Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14 NIV).

We must live lives of radical holiness, no matter the consequences – but don't confuse holiness with man-made legalism. True holiness is born of the law of the Spirit and produces overflowing life and peace, while religious legalism is born of the letter of the law and produces only barrenness and death. Remember, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (see 2 Corinthians 3:17).

Good things began to happen to David almost immediately because he started looking at his world through eyes of blessing rather than eyes of failure. Even as he overcame the lion and the bear, he knew he could overcome giants. And just as he took authority and overcame everything that threatened his ascent to the throne, you must take authority and overcome everything that threatens your ascent into your DESTINY in Christ.
Mark 11:23 - "Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,'and does not doubt in his heart; but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him."
