Ten Power Exhortations - September 8, 2018

Too many Believers today do not know where they fit in the Kingdom of God. One of the very first acts of every Christian should be to find out what God's PURPOSE for them is in this life. Before we can begin to please God with our works we must first find out what His PURPOSE is for us. This PURPOSE becomes your identity.
"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." - Acts 20:24

As surely as Lazarus rose from the dead, you can be equipped to devastate evil and have a powerful impact on the lives of others.
Our willful decision to pick up our cross (our calling) and lay down our lives for others, as Jesus did, is the very path upon which true authority develops.

"I have authority to lay my life down." (John 10:18)

"They began to discuss with one another the fact that they had no bread....."why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a hardened heart? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears. do you not hear?" - Mark 8:16-18
Every miracle that God brings about is to anchor our affections in a world that we cannot see.

Miracles release glory so that we have a shift in perspective in thinking. When the disciples didn't change their way of thinking in Mark 8 He asked them, "Do you not yet see or understand? Do you have a hardened heart?" He was trying to pull them into their potential -- to come up higher.

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." - Romans 12:2
We can go through life picking up certain Christ habits and disciplines that are useful and beneficial but in themselves do not necessarily bring about the renewed mind.

The renewed mind only comes about through divine encounter. It is encountering the Lord that changes us and our perspective. The renewed mind is at the heart of a transformed people.

Why is it necessary to move from glory to glory? The reason is that in every season of glory, we experience a new order that God brings to our lives as we mirror His image to a greater extent.

"And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like Him and reflect His glory even more." - 2 Corinthians 3:18

Holy Spirit has always seen the future of the Church – He sees you as the "glorious Church without a spot or wrinkle" (Ephesians 5:27).

His eyes are fixed on you, and He sees your end from your beginning – the potential of God in us! We are the HOPE of Heaven (see Colossians 1:27), and He's expectant! He sees much more than we do in the age we have entered into and the Father's intended harvest.
He wants to fill you with the latter-days wine like the jars at Cana (John 2:7). He will make you a container for His wine, so He can tell the world, "Try My wine! Drink your fill and experience the goodness of the Father Who loves you!"
We will liberate those held in darkness! For – He has seen them and hungers for us to rescue them. Truly, He has saved the best wine for last (see John 2:10)!

"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill "cannot be hidden." - (Matthew 5:14)
We are a lamp, not hidden anymore, because He will fill us with the effectual workings of Christ -- the effectual WORD in us as a beacon to all who are in the world.
"Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house." Matthew 5:15
As He went to the cross, Jesus said, I AM, I AM the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. He In US pours His workings into us to be that light. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven" (Matthew 5:16). He's going to pour so much of Himself in us, that we won't be able to hold it back!

Christ not only came to set captives free, He came to TRAIN and EMPOWER the recently freed to be warriors. How can we, imperfect Christians, walk triumphantly? The Bible says we overcome "because of the Blood of the Lamb and because of the word of [our] testimony, and [we do] not love [our lives] even when faced with death" (Revelation 12:11).
Many Christians are awakened spiritually, but they do not know God's promises in the Bible. To be successful, we must know God's Word, believe it, AFFIRM IT OUT LOUD, MEDITATE on it, and SPEAK it with faith. We overcome by the "word of our testimony."

Three times in the first verses of Joshua 1 the Lord tells Joshua, "Be strong and courageous."
Today, believe that God is taking you into a new future (His PURPOSE for your life) amidst all the pain and obstacles that are now standing between you and what God has promised. God is your passage-maker and He will never leave you alone in the crossing you are about to make.

The PURITY God requires from us is impossible for us. We must allow Him to produce it in us. PURITY produces in us godliness when we consistently sit at the feet of Jesus.

"...beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into His likeness ....." - 2 Corinthians 3:18
