Throughout the history of God's dealings with man, He has revealed Himself as a covenant-making God. The Almighty covenanted with Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David; He renewed His Abrahamic covenant in His call to Isaac and Jacob. Each covenant:

Drawing Closer Through Feelings

Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly.



YOUR FIRST STEP IN DRAWING CLOSER TO GOD IS TO REALIZE THAT YOU KNOW GOD FIRST IN HIS WORD. TIME SPENT MEDITATING IN THE NEW TESTAMENT IS TIME SPENT WITH JESUS.

MOST PEOPLE TRY TO KNOW HIM THROUGH THEIR FEELINGS AND THAT JUST WON'T WORK.

LETTING THE WORD DOMINATE YOUR THINKING IS TO ALLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HAVE CONTROL OVER YOUR MIND. AS YOU DO THAT, YOUR FEELINGS WILL EVENTUALLY FALL IN LINE.

Take No Thought

Matthew 6:31 - "Therefore take no though, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?"



In order to not take thought about one thing, one has to fill his thoughts with something else. In verse 31, Jesus gave us the basic key to controlling out thought lives. He said " take no thought - saying."

To speak by faith is simply to speak words that agree with the word of God instead of the circumstances around you. It's speaking from your spirit instead of from your mind.

Turning On The Switch

Mark 11:24 - Therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

I KEEP THE SWITCH OF FAITH TURNED ON.
