Exodus 14:16 - But lift up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children if Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
God generally doesn't call us to do things we can accomplish in our own ability. He calls us to achieve the unachievable and accomplish the impossible.
Mark 4:3,8 - Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow his seed. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times.
Matthew 24:24-26,30 - Then the man who received one talent came......I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground....His master replied, 'You wicked lazy servant!...Throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, were there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.'
Preservation and planting are two entirely different processes. God didn't save and deliver us so we could preserve His gift in a sealed jar and live life as usual. He expects us to PLANT our life, our gift, and our inadequacy in the soil of faith and DIE so He can live through us. He loves us, but He is also looking beyond us to the harvest He will produce through us.
I REFUSE TO BURY THE INVESTMENT GOD HAS MADE IN ME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS.
HE IS TRYING TO USE MY EMPTINESS TO OPENLY DISPLAY HIS FULLNESS.
