The Reality Of The New Creation
New Testament Truths
The new creation is the product of God.
It is created in Christ Jesus.
It is born from the Holy Spirit through the Word.
The moment we become new creations we become the righteousness of God.
The righteousness of God means the ability to stand in the Father's presence without the sense of guilt, condemnation, or inferiority.
Have student recite the above truths five times per day and meditate on them as he goes throughout the day.
FOR HOMEWORK HAVE STUDENT WRITE OUT THE FOLLOWING SCRIPTURES:
l. Foretold by the prophets.
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
2. Described in the gospels.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
3. Revealed by the Apostles.
1 Corinthians 2:12,14
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
2 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
4. What blessings are we blessed with as a result of being newly created?
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
1 John 5:13
13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
