Matthew 9:17 - 17 Nor do people put new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wineskins burst, and the wine pours out and the wineskins are ruined; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.” NASB

Mark 2:21-22 - 21 “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; otherwise ]the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear results. 22 No one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost and the skins as well; but one puts new wine into fresh wineskins.” NASB

Luke 5:37-39 - 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the new wine will burst the skins and it will be spilled out, and the skins will be ruined. 38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. 39 And no one, after drinking old wine wishes for new; for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’” NASB

Jesus prophesies that there is a new form of worship on the way that will replace the old. The new garment of worship is not compatible with the old; also if the new form of worship is put in with the old the new will overcome the old. Moreover, because of tradition and custom, most worshippers prefer the old to the new form of worship.

John 4:23 “But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.

The new worship will be with the Holy Spirit dwelling in man's spirit instead of obedience to the law.

Ephesians 1:22-23 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Colossians 1:27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.  In the new worship God wants to possess man.
