Yes, that is so true! Examples: (1) Jesus said the count the cost first before attempting to become His disciple - Luke 14:28 [count money to see if one has enough before building a tower}; Luke 3:7-8 [John called those coming to be baptized but who had made no effort to change their lives - "a brood of vipers" - he said they needed to show evidence of their desire to follow God by showing signs of genuine repentance].
