Isaiah 26:9 - “My soul yearns for you in the night.”

What is the most worthwhile thing you can experience on earth? Nothing less than God Himself! What is the first and most important thing to be done each day?  It is nothing less than to seek, to know, to live, and to praise God.

So begin every day of the year with the impassioned prayer of David:  "O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you…in a dry and weary land" (Psalm 63:1).  As you persevere in this, you will learn to expect the presence of God to surround you throughout the day.

1 Peter 2:9 - "But you are...a royal priesthood."

By what right do we become "a royal priesthood?"

By the right of the Atonement. Are we prepared to leave our self-absorbed existence and launch out into the priestly work of helping others with their spiritual lives in Christ? There is only one place where we are right, and that is in Christ Jesus.

Move on out in the reckless belief that the Redemption is complete and begin to demonstrate the life and priesthood of Jesus by pouring our lives into advancing His Kingdom.

1 Corinthians 2:9 - “But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him. These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God."

God designed you to live out the careful plans He prepared for you. You are made in God’s image. The plan He wrote for you is perfect and right. No detail or part is missing.

You have the potential to live out all that God has planned for your life – but only if you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.

Though you may have messed up God’s plan for your life, He graciously offers to write another book for you. Accept yourself as God made you.  Allow His power to transform your weaknesses, rather than belittling yourself when you make mistakes.

Revelation 3:20 - “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.”

When He walked the earth He stayed open as a door—a passageway between Heaven and Earth. He released the Kingdom of God from His Spirit, His inner man, to the outer world. Jesus, as a door, was fully open to our Father in Heaven and fully open to us on Earth. Through Him, Father worked freely.

At the very door of your heart, He is knocking.  As soon as you open, yielding yourself to Him, unreservedly, He will enter.  But how can we hear His voice if we do not listen?

If we are “in Christ”, we are moving with the most pressing speed, for we are “in” the most dynamic man who ever walked the earth. When He says to us, “Follow me”, He is inviting us to a high-speed chase down the roads of our life. On that chase there is no rest except eternal rest and no security except eternal securit

Psalm 42:2 - “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.  When can I go and meet with God?”

How can you acquire an intimate experience of the presence of God in your communion with Him?

Believe with your whole heart that He offers Himself as the listener.  Give God the opportunity to make Himself known to you when you approach Him in prayer. You will never discover this, however, if you do not take time to have genuine fellowship with God.

The power of prayer does not lie in the number or earnestness of the words you use, but in a living faith that God Himself accepts both you and your prayer into His loving heart.

Isaiah 43:25,26 - “I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.  Put Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together; State your cause, that you may be proved right.”

As long as you allow the devil to keep reminding you of past sins and failures, he will take advantage of you.  Constantly dwelling on the past will keep your faith inoperative. And as long as you have no confidence in your own faith, your prayers will be hindered.

Why does God say that He won’t remember our sins for His own sake?  So that He can bless us!  He blots out our sins for His own sake so He can help us and demonstrate His great mercy and love on our behalf.

2 Corinthians 4:3,4 - “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Since God doesn’t save anyone against their will, does it really do any good to pray for people who consciously refuse to receive Jesus as Lord?  YES IT DOES!

Unbelievers who have purposely refused to receive Jesus as Lord think they’ve made that decision of their own free will – the truth is, they haven’t.  The Word of God says they’ve been blinded by Satan.  He’s Blocking their perception of the truth. So their decision hasn’t been freely made at all.

Through the prayer of intercession, you can interfere with the satanic forces and help take those blinders off! You can also change circumstances with your prayers and help create situations that will bring them in contact with the Lord. Believe when you pray and open their eyes to the glorious gospel of God.

Luke 10:22 - “All things have been committed to me by my Father.”

As the Holy Spirit reveals Jesus. He is real – the living Word, effective, acting, speaking, thinking praying, singing. It is a wonderful life, the substance of the Word of God, which includes possibility, and opportunity, which confronts us, bringing us to a place undaunted.

Jesus has given us power over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). All must be subject to His power. What should we do to “work the works of God?’ (John 6:28). "This is the work of God, that you believe” (verse 29).

We must remain in a strong, resolute resting on the authority of God’s Word, rejoicing in the manifestation of the life of God, through us, on behalf of the sick and perishing multitudes.

Hebrews 4:12 - “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

The Word of God is alive and full of life! Therefore, it administers life wherever it is applied. It doesn’t matter how dark and deadly your circumstances may be. The Word of God has the supernatural life within it to fulfill the promises of God in your life.

If you have a need in your life today, go to the Word of God. Find a promise to stand on regarding your need…begin planting that seed in your heart. Say it aloud over and over as you let that Word take root inside of you. Let that Word become real to you as you continually meditate on it. And then watch it come alive!
