Daily Meditations and Affirmations - July 22, 2024

Acts 16:26  -  "And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken:  and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed."

 We are challenged in the New Testament to see God at work in the midst of our trials so that incredible positive outcomes are secured.  Isn't this what Paul and Silas "saw" in the darkest hour with bleeding backs and bound in the prison stocks?

The Holy Spirit is promising us that in these days we are going to begin to "see" the invisible God at work in ways that we have not recognized before. This spiritual insight is what distinguishes this "Holy Spirit optimism" from the mere "power of positive thinking".

                        Observation:

          I HAVE BEEN "DOING TIME" (IN THE PRISON OF MY MIND), BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN DECEIVED BY THE DEVIL.  HE HAS TRICKED ME INTO BELIEVING THAT ALL MY SINS HAVE NOT BEEN FORGIVEN  AND THAT GOD DOESN'T LOVE ME ANYMORE.

 Hebrews 8:12  - “For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”

Jeremiah 1:12  -  "Then said the Lord unto me, you have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that My Word is fulfilled."

Jesus is our family lawyer (1 John 2:1).  He ever lives to watch over those for whom He died and suffered.  We hold fast our confession.  Our confession has been of our position in Christ, of our legal rights as a child of God, of what He is to us now.

Jesus is the Surety (guarantor) (Hebrews 7:22) of every word from Matthew 1 to Revelation 22.

                             AFFIRMATION:

          I have the abiding Word and the ability of God active inside of me because God Himself is active inside of me, watching to make sure that His Word is fulfilled for me.  So if I act on the Word, God will watch that Word to see that it comes to pass in whatever way I need it to come to pass.  He is watching over my situation, because He is watching over His word!

Luke 1:37  -  "For with God nothing is ever impossible, and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment."
