March 23, 2024 - Exhortation

Mark 8:29 - "And he asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered him, 'You are the Christ.'”

Matthew 6:33 - "Seek the Kingdom of God above all else." 

Jesus pulls you aside to show you the one thing you should be most obsessed with, and that is the Person of Who He is and His Kingdom.

God wants to create a passion and obsession in your heart for Him and advancing His Kingdom, where nothing else gets in the way. The Lord says that when you seek Him with your "whole heart" you will find Him.  You may be finding lots of things to take your mind in different directions.

To seek God first means you will have to sacrifice different things in your life. When you begin to take steps in your Christ calling and your oneness with Christ, you will wake up one day and discover your lack of interest in the self-life. The Holy Spirit will begin to crucify all of those agendas that you thought were important.
