Faith- "Now faith is the great expectancy of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb. 11:1) If only I had understood this at a younger age. Christian Faith did not hold much water to me. I saw religion as man’s interpretation of God, and most often not with doctrine. I believe in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. I also believe that the Bible is the irrefutable word of God. God can not lie, fail, or be pleased without faith, so by basing all my knowledge from the Bible by reading the Word, writing the word, and speaking the Word, I will practice the Word throughout my life.

I’m tried of trying to navigate my ship up stream only getting splashed by the Spirit. I am ready to jump in. God has told me to drop my career and do His will. It’s time to let the living water flow with me in the middle taking me to God’s divine appointments. My life of selfishness is dead, and my true meaning will be fulfilled here.

Growing up I always was in touch with my knowledge that God really did exist. I always knew what was right and what was wrong. Conviction has always plagued my life’s actions, because I was going against what I knew was right. I knew that I wanted to change the world, bring answers to the biggest questions in life, in other words I just wanted to help others. I just didn’t have the power of God on my side, so in what little I tried I failed, and settled for mediocrity.

September the Eleventh, 2001, I joined the military. The Air Force was gratifying, but there was absolutely nothing this God sized hole in my heart could be filled with other than Him. Over the next year I cracked the Bible for the first time. The clouds that were always over head began to part, and a light began to shine for the first time in my life. The hole was filling, filling so full that now it over pours on other. Today I help teach the Word, work with two ministries, and work with addicts and alcoholics who were in the same position I was in. "And we know in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28). Now I know the only way to find my happiness is to find my destiny in Christ.

I do not find my best attribute as one of God’s blessings I was born with, but the one he healed me from. I brought forth a curse on myself by being selfish, dishonest, and fearful. I was trying to fill God’s spot in my heart with things of the world, which in turn turned me into a binge drinking alcoholic. Living without God turned my life upside down. I had no idea what to do with my life, I just knew what I was doing wasn’t it. I turned to God. God helped by putting Pastor Steve Bartlet in my life at the right time. He showed me that it wasn’t my life, and that God had created me for Him. I went into action immediately!

I have been that totally lost soul, the one family meetings are held about to find out how to help. The one who’s family finally had to abandon in order for me to find my true purpose. God healed me. He healed me so I could disciple others and bring the message fourth that it is Jesus’ name that releases people from the bondage to alcoholism and drug addiction.

John 8:39 - "They answered and said to Him, 'Abraham is our father.' Jesus said to them, 'If you are Abraham's children, do the deeds of Abraham.'"Abraham was an alien and a stranger on the earth. The goal of his life was to have a place in what God…Continue
