Luke 6:22,23 - “Blessed are you when men shall hate you…for the Son of man’s sake.  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy for your reward is great in heaven…"

When persecution comes, when friends or family criticize you because you love Jesus, and aren’t afraid to say so, rejoice! Shout hallelujah and leap for joy!

Paul said, "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us (Romans 8:18).”

Get caught up in producing fruit through advancing in God’s purpose for your life. Get caught up in the glorious hope that’s ahead. For that hope is enough to make anyone – under any circumstance – leap for joy!

Matthew 8:19 - “Then a teacher of the law came to Him and said, ‘Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.’”

Only a disciple experiences full potential. He seeks new revelations and understandings concerning Jesus’ life and who He calls His disciples to be.  Don’t fall for the limitations of the world – the lies and deceptions of the lower nature.

Get connected to God’s purpose for your life. Then stay connected.  God has chosen you to go and bear fruit – fruit that remains. Live in Christ and the Father will give you whatever you wish.

Refuse to live below your privileged sonship. Reach for the high calling of Christ for your life. Drink deep from the vine and let your life feed others.

John 3:29,30 - “The bride belongs to the bridegroom….He must increase, but I must decrease.”

His life is manifested power overflowing.  We must decrease if the life of God is to be manifested.  there is not room for two kinds of life in one body.  Death for life – that is the price to pay for the manifested power of God through us.

As we die to selfish desire, there comes a fellowship within, perfected cooperation, you ceasing, God increasing.

God in us is a living substance, a spiritual nature. You live by another life, the “faith of the Son of God” (Galatians 2:20).

John 15:1 - “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.”  Jesus says, “I am the True Vine.”

By this statement He implies that there are vines or sources that are not genuine. The potential of the branches and the vine needs the attention of the Gardener. Cutting off the old leaves that stop the vine from producing its full potential, the Gardner starts to clean up the vine.

Are there some old leaves in your life that have been hanging around for five, ten or fifteen years? Do you need to quit a habit or two so your life more truly reflects your oneness with Christ? How many hours in a day are you losing to disobedience and rebellion?

Prune your life through discipline and obedience to God, who desires His purpose for your life to be maximized.

Ephesians 4:22-24 - “Strip yourselves of your former nature…And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind…put on the new nature…created in…true holiness."

Righteousness and holiness are two different things. Righteousness is the right standing with God you gained when you were born again. The only thing you did to be made righteous was to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life.

You are not made holy. Holiness is the result of your choices. It’s your conduct. It comes when you make a decision of your will to live according to the precepts of the Lord. To be holy is to be sanctified (2 timothy 2:21). Sanctified means "set apart.” Set apart from what? From the World.

Affirmations:

I make up my mind not to sideline my spiritual growth in Christ by doing petty things that please myself.  I dedicate myself wholly to the Father and choose to live holy. I choose to live a life of power!  I choose to live for God!

Matthew 24:45 - "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household?"

Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God has called him to do.  Or as Jesus put it, the one who takes up his cross and follows Him. The one who denies his fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do.

God may be calling you to pray for the sick or to disciple a new Christian.  But you're busy, so you glide on with good intentions and tell God you'll do it later.  Well later is NOW.

Decide today that you are going to be the faithful and wise servant. Serve His interests instead of your own. Do you want Him to show Himself strong for you? Then take up Jesus' thoughts today. Discover and take up His purpose for your life. Now is the time to be faithful!

Mark 11:23,24 - “…shall not doubt in his heart but shall BELIEVE THAT WHAT HE SAYS shall be done, WHATSOEVER HE SAYS SHALL BE DONE unto him. Therefore I say unto you, whatever things you desire, when you pray, BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVE  them, and you shall have them.”

Believing is an action word.  Just before Jesus told us in Mark 11:24 to believe that we receive, He told us in verse 23 that we “we shall have whatever we say.” Put those two together and you’ll see what a powerful thing it is when you actually say the phrase, “I believe I receive.”  Something happens in your spirit when you say those words.

When you constantly say with your mouth, “I believe I receive my healing,” or “I believe I receive my financial needs met,” and then quote the scriptures that back those things, faith is released to bring power to bear in the areas of those needs. When everything looks the worst, we say it the loudest, I BELIEVE I RECEIVE!

2 Chronicles 16:9 - "The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him."

So often we try to figure things out instead of just trusting God and doing what He says in His Word.  As a result, we end up in disobedience -- which always leads to unbelief.  Don't let the giants in your life scare you into hiding.  Let God know you'll trust Him and His Word no matter what the circumstances say or look like.  Then worship Him knowing you'll see Him demonstrate His power and faithfulness on your behalf.

Affirmation:  I keep my heart faithful toward God so that He shows Himself strong on my behalf.

Philippians 3:13,14 - “Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Press into God by “adding to.” Add a few minutes more to your prayer time, Praise a few minutes more. Stretch yourself. Press through the limitations your flesh has tried to impose on you. See yourself turning from the past toward the future God has for you in Christ Jesus.

Settle in your spirit and in your mind what you need to do to advance in God’s PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE.  Now, see yourself rising up and marching toward those marks with faith in your heart as the Holy Spirit leads you and give you His strength to get there.

Isaiah 26:9 - “My soul yearns for you in the night.”

What is the most worthwhile thing you can experience on earth? Nothing less than God Himself! What is the first and most important thing to be done each day?  It is nothing less than to seek, to know, to live, and to praise God.

So begin every day of the year with the impassioned prayer of David:  “O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you…in a dry and weary land” (Psalm 63:1).  As you persevere in this, you will learn to expect the presence of God to surround you throughout the day.
