Devoting Ourselves
John 8:39 - They answered and said to Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus said to them, "If you are Abraham's children, do the deeds of Abraham."
ABRAHAM WAS AN ALIEN AND STRANGER ON THE EARTH. THE GOAL OF HIS LIFE WAS TO HAVE A PLACE IN WHAT GOD WAS BUILDING, NOT MEN.
WE ARE NOT THE HEIRS OF FAITH BECAUSE WE KNOW THAT WE MUST LIVE BY FAITH, BUT WE BECOME THE HEIRS OF FAITH BY ACTUALLY HAVING FAITH, BY DOING THE SAME DEEDS THAT ABRAHAM DID.
WE MUST DEVOTE OURSELVES TO FINDING WHAT THE LORD IS BUILDING AND SACRIFICE WHATEVER IS REQUIRED TO BE A PART OF IT.
Galatians 3:6,7 - Even so Abraham believed God, and it was reckoned to him as righteousness. Therefore, be sure that it is those who are of faith who are sons of Abraham.
What am I sacrificing today to be a part of what God is building?
What am I willing to sacrifice now?
