"Pressing-In" To the Holy Spirit

John 14:16,17 - "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever--the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."

 

The Lord's holiness is imparted to me as I live in communion with the Holy Spirit.

 

Proverbs 23:7A - For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

 

I become what I hang around. I Hang around the Holy Spirit!

 

Revelation 22:1 - "And He showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb."

 

The Spirit of God is like a flowing river -- a powerful river. I tap into that River, and then He rushes through my life and rushes on through to others as well. He has the ability to completely wash out the debris and clean my house--washing, renewing, and refreshing.

The words clean or pure are at the core of the Spirit's being. It is another way of saying "holy." He is clean. When I welcome His washings, He will clean my house. When this happens I actually feel his freshness.

I seek to know, seek to experience, seek to drink of His life. I set apart time to just call on His cleansing love. I lay my heart bare before Him. I declare my childlike dependencey upon Him. I settle for nothing less than Him touching me in that place of prayer.

 

Acts 2:2 - And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.

 

God comes to us in waves. He knows how to provoke us to desperation no matter what place we are in. God is so vast and has a never ending supply for us.

My only hope is revelation within the depths of my spirit.
My cry is for His Spirit to take me higher still.
