Psalms 63:6-7 When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches, for You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings I will shout for joy. (Bring great things into remembrance.)
Psalms 78:5,7 For He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel, which He commanded our fathers, that they should teach them to their children, that they should put their confidence in God and not forget the works of God but keep His commandments, (Don’t forget the works of God.)
Psalms 78:11 They forgot His deeds and His miracles that He had shown them. (They were not meditating therefore they forgot.)
Psalms 78:40-42 How often they rebelled against Him in the wilderness and grieved Him in the desert! Again and again they tempted God, and pained the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power, the day when He redeemed them from the adversary. (Unbelief kept them out of the promised land. They had forgotten what God had done.)
Testimonies Build Expectations and Faith
Psalms 106:13 They quickly forgot His works; they did not wait for His counsel, (No Testimonies)
Psalms 105:1-2 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples. Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; speak of all His wonders. (Testimonies!)
Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. (Overcame!)
Revelation 19:10 Then I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Every time you testify, God is prophesying to you and to others. The Spirit of prophecy brings an atmosphere of creation so that the spoken word can take place.
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed use with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. (We are blessed with every spiritual blessing, including the Spirit of prophecy.)
Ephesians 1:18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. (Prophecy that into others lives! You will enlighten their spiritual lives.)
Your testimony is building expectation and faith into the person(s) you are talking to, and you are prophesying about things to come for him(them). (If God will do it for you, he can do it for me.)
This is how we minister to others. The word of God enlightens.
The way to get into unbelief is to not revisit what God has done in your life and others and that will limit God in your life.
Questions to Ask Myself
