Seven Places Jesus Shed His Blood - #7

Isaiah 53:5 - "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."

The seventh place Jesus shed his blood was in His bruises; He was bruised for our iniquities.

"Iniquity" means a spirit that tries to break us down. It is a spiritual force on the inside that pressures us to bow or bend under its destructive nature.

Exodus 34:6,7 - "The Lord passed before him, and proclaimed, "The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sin."

We can plead the blood of Jesus to wipe away our sin and to set us free from the iniquity that drives us to do the very thing we do not want to do. The key to receiving the blessing of God is not just getting saved, but getting changed -- transferred from the old creature to the new!

2 Corinthians 5:15,17 - "And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him, who died for them and rose again. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

Jesus shed His blood on the inside as well as on the outside. He was bruised inside to change the person on the inside, to change the nature that causes them hurt or suffering. Through His shed blood, we are not just free; we are free indeed!

2 Corinthians 5:21 - "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."

Affirmations

I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS.

SPIRITUAL FOCES ON THE INSIDE OF ME THAT HAVE BROKEN ME DOWN IN THE PAST NO LONGER HAVE POWER OVER ME AS I PLEAD THE BLOOD OF JESUS OVER MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND INIQUITIES.
