THE UNSTOPPABLE GOSPEL VS THE UNMOVABLE SOUL

''...because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. But the word of God continued to increase and spread.''---Acts 12:23-24.
At the beginning of this chapter we see that king Herod arrested those who spoke the message of God and had them put to prison. This was done to stop the gospel from spreading further. Some like Peter were freed by the angel of God. Herod continued with his unmoved soul and ordered the murder of the prison guards and accepted the honor that belongs to the Sovereign Lord. Keen students of Philosophy will agree with me that when the unstoppable meets the unmovable something unpredictable must happen. And it did happen to king Herod. Whoever tries to stop the gospel must be prepared to meet the unpredictable either in this life or in the next one... someone nicely put it like this, '' To declare war against God is to commit eternal suicide, because God always wins''.
Through many centuries the gospel has proved unstoppable!
