Extreme Christianity

Acts 26:24,25 -- Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you MAD! But He (Paul) said, "I am not MAD, most noble Festus, but speak the word of truth and reason."

The words 'beside yourself' mean to rave as a maniac, and it's the idea of incessant craving. Festus accused Paul of being crazy.

Modern culture is not drawn to Christianity because the…

Separation

Romans 1:1 - "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ called to be an apostle, separated unto the Gospel of God."

Many are called, but we are never separated. That separation is a threefold thing:

First: The New Creation separates us from the old life.

Second: As the Word is built into us, we are separated unto Christ.…

Being In Tune With The Spirit

1 Corinthians 2:16 - "For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ, the Messiah, and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart."

Affirmations

GOD WANTS ME TO BE SO IN TUNE WITH HIS SPIRIT THAT I AM…

Hearing God Through Peace

Colossians 3:15 - 'Let the peace of God rule in your heart...'

A very fundamental way God speaks to individual believers is through His peace. Too often we take the peace of God for granted. God's peace is that eternal tranquilizer that governs our being.

Romans 5:1 -- 'Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace WITH GOD through our Lord Jesus Christ.'

Ephesians 2:13,14 -- 'But now in…

Confident Expectation

Proverbs 13:12 -- Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when dreams come true, there is life and joy.

Without God hope is reduced to the powerless level of fate.

While life can take people from hope to disappointment the God of hope leads people in the other direction.

No matter what the circumstances look like for you, the heart of God is that your dreams will come true.…

Foundational Prayer - Destiny Awaits

Psalm 91:1 -- "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty."

Jesus lived a life of of prayer, and when He needed dedicated prayer time He would send crowds and, most likely, potential resources away so that He could be with the Father. As a result He would not move, speak, or do anything that the Father did not ask Him to do.

Our talking and listening to the Father…

Being Spiritually Healthy and Yielding Fruit

Psalm 1:3 - And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Observation

WATER IS USED AS A SYMBOL OF THE WORD OF GOD. THE TREE IS "PLANTED BY STREAMS OF WATER". IT IS HEALTHY AND YIELDS FRUIT BECAUSE IT IS NEAR THE WATER AND CAN DRAW THE WATER BY ITS…

Pulling Virtue Out Of The Holy Spirit

Psalm 5:3 -- "In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation."

Hearing from God is living with expectation toward Him because expectation places a demand on the Holy Spirit. We should live with expectation toward God twenty-four hours a day, for He abides within us at all times.

God does talk. He is speaking continually. Christians need to develop their receivers (their human…

The Greatest Power

1 Corinthians 13:13 -- So faith, hope love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

The power of love is the greatest power in the universe. It's beyond defeat. It never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).

When you release love into a situation, you have released God into it. When you release love into a situation, Jesus becomes responsible for it's success.

Mark 12:30,31 -- "You shall love the Lord…

Discipling Vs. Counseling

Some people that attend church are looking for "Christian Counseling" but what would be more beneficial in most circumstances would be discipleship equipping. That would involve focusing on their spiritual condition rather than their personal problems.

Areas that involve discipling are:

1. Understanding their inheritance in Christ and who they are in Christ.

2. Understand their "Right Standing With God."

3. Understanding of how…

Being Compelled Towards God

Isaiah 43:1-3 - "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you: and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."

TROUBLES AND AFFLICTIONS ARE OFTEN AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF OUR TRANSFORMATION; AS THEY COMPEL US TOWARD…

Fruit That The Tongue Cannot Describe

Many are avidly seeking but they alone, find, who remain in continual silence....Every man who delights in a multitude of words, even though he says admirable things, is empty within. If you love truth, be a lover or silence. Silence like the sunlight will illuminate you in God and will deliver you from the phantoms of ignorance. Silence will unite you to God himself......

More than all things love silence: it brings you a fruit that tongue cannot describe.…

Where Is Our Focus?

1 Corinthians 1:9 -- God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on.)

Seeds of affirmation, meditation, prayer, works, giving and other acts of obedience are ready to burst forth in bud and fruit.

Harvest awaits those who do not yield to discouragement and remain consistent in obedience and diligence.

Grasshoppers of discouragement will assault us when we're…

Sense Of Divine Destiny

Ephesians 5:14-18 - "Wake up from your sleep, and arise from the dead, And Christ shall shine upon you. Live life with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning of life but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the evils of these days. Don't be vague but grasp firmly what you know to be the will of the Lord."

As believers, we are instructed to live our daily lives with a sense of our…

Out Of The Box Thinking

Ephesians 3:20 - "Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us."

Out of the box thinking realizes there is no box. You are the limitless purpose and manifestation of God's glory, released into the earth with the same anointing, mission and message Jesus had over 2,000 years ago.

You now live beyond the dimension of needing your needs met,…

Seated With Christ In Heavenly Places

Revelation 4:1 -- After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things"

That voice is still calling to all who will hear. There is a door open in heaven and the spirit is beckoning us to come up there.

The ultimate quest of every Christian…

Rushing In Of Eternity

Haggai 2:9 - "The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts."

Hebrews 6:1 - "Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ, advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity."

Nearly 2000 years ago, the author of the book of…

Becoming A Partaker

Romans 10:9,10 - "Because if you shall confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and shall believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved."

When we confess His Lordship, it not only His dominion over us, but "lord" means Leader, "the bread-provider," the caretaker, the protector from all our enemies. You actually become a partaker of the Divine Nature. (2 Peter 1:4).

As…

The Seven Sayings Of Jesus On The Cross

Father forgive them, for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34).

Jesus says this first word only in the Gospel of Luke, just after he was crucified by the soldiers on Golgotha, with the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. The timing of this suggests that Jesus asks his Father to primarily forgive his enemies, the soldiers, who have scourged him, mocked him, tortured him, and who have just…
