You Shall Be Highly Favored

(Read Luke 1 & John 14)

Luke 1:28-36 28And coming in, he said to her, “Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.” 29But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. 30The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31“And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32“He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.” 34Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I am a virgin?” 35The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. 36“And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month.

(As we look at the favor of Mary, the mother of Jesus, we see a shadow of how God wants to use our lives on earth, just as He used her life. It is incomprehensible to the finite mind that the creator of the universe would humble himself to become a helpless totally dependant baby. We see how our Holy Father wants us to be totally dependant on Him.)

John 21:17 17He said* to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said* to him, “Tend My sheep.

(The baby Jesus could not have survived without being fed and nurtured by His mother and Father. This is so indicative of how all children of God must be fed by their spiritual mothers and fathers.)

Psalm 72:19 And blessed be His glorious name forever; And may the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen, and Amen.
Matthew 6:10 ‘Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.'
Luke 1:35 35The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.

(God has created His people to be deliverers; to conceive, carry and deliver on earth as it is in heaven. We were created to conceive, carry and deliver both in the natural and spiritual realms. Consequently He is overshadowing us looking for hand maidens/servants, vessels of honor, willing to carry the dreams of God from infancy to maturation, willing to carry the glory that will cover the earth.)

John 1:46 46Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said* to him, “Come and see.”

(It may not seem that anything good can come out of your Nazareth, but God is not looking at our past; God isn’t looking at our resources, our money, our talents; He is looking for a Bethlehem, a holy place to deliver His will, a humble place to cover His dreams in swaddling cloths and lay them in a protective manger until they grow and eventually enter the temple on their own.)

Mark 15:21 21They pressed* into service a passer-by coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus), to bear His cross.

(But it is God’s strength that will deliver your world changing dreams. In fact, He renews our strength as we wait, so the longer we wait the stronger we become. He sends helpers, mid-wives, so to speak, Jesus never leaves us to carry the load alone. Even Jesus had Simon to help Him carry the cross.)

2 Corinthians 3:17 - "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."
John 4:6,7,28 - 6and Jacob’s well was there. So Jesus, being wearied from His journey, was sitting thus by the well. It was about the sixth hour. 7There came* a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said* to her, “Give Me a drink.”  28So the woman left her waterpot, and went into the city and said* to the men,

(The closer we get to God releasing us into our DESTINY the stronger and more powerful the manifest spirit of our Lord becomes. Where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty:

Liberty sets us free from tradition and prejudice; it sets us free to receive and become messengers of God!

It sets us free to run from the well and share the good news. News isn’t news until it is shared.

Liberty sets us free to go quickly and tell disciples that Jesus has risen from the dead!

Liberty allows the entire army of God to fulfill the great commission as all authority in heaven and earth has been given to us. We’ll go, making disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to obey all that God has commanded.)
