Revelation 1:6 - "And has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father -- to Him be glory and power forever and ever! Amen."

Mary was chosen to bring forth the Son of God into the world in human flesh.  Jesus Christ was a living, breathing move of God.  Every place he went heaven was brought forth on the earth.  He was also conceived within every born-again believer at the moment of salvation and WE NOW HAVE A MOVE OF GOD LIVING WITHIN US.

The very DNA of heaven has been implanted within us and our mission is now to bring forth the Son of God on the earth and reveal His glory.  We are to live in intimate union with the Lord and out of that relationship God will give us a VISION of His purpose for our life, commission us, and release us to fulfill it (our DESTINY).

NO GREATER FREEDOM

Romans 9:23 - "That He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory."

The great promise in Romans 12:1-2 is that if our minds are transformed, we will be able to "prove what the will of God is." There is no greater freedom than knowing we are in the will of God. We were created to serve God.  We were placed on earth for a special assignment (Ephesians 2:10).   For Christians to endure and prevail in the battles of life, more than anything else, we must have a vision for going higher into God's PURPOSE for our lives (our calling in Christ).

1 Peter 2:9,10 - "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."

The priests in the Old Testament were from the Tribe of Levi.  When an Israelite came across a priest they knew right away because their lives were so totally different.  We are to have the same heart as the Old Testament priests -- one of total abandon to the Lord, with no mixture of the world.

The priests were to have nothing of the world in them -- their lives were "set apart" (holy) unto the Lord.  Nothing of the world should have a place within our hearts and our relationship with God.

1 John 2:15-17 - " Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world.  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."

TENDING THE FLAME

We are to be the glory of His heavenly essence upon the earth.  As we allow God to expose the darkness and worldly distractions in our lives, His light and nature will supernaturally come forth in power through each of us as we advance in our heavenly CALLING as we bear fruit that remains for His Kingdom.

We want to rule and reign as overcomers with the power of God but we haven't learned to live a life of intimacy, consecration, sacrifice, and yieldedness as consecrated priests.  We have too much mixture with worldly preoccupation and agendas.

The priests were called to serve God with their entire life. Under the New Covenant that would involve discipling new believers into their Christ identity so they can be effective in moving forward God’s Kingdom.

Leviticus 6:12,13 - "And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it.  It shall not go out, but the priest shall burn wood on it every morning......A fire shall be kept burning continually on the altar; it is not to go out."

Tending the flame is significant to us as the priests today because it symbolizes tending the flame of our relationship with God daily.  Every morning the priests were to put fresh wood on that altar to ensure that the flame didn’t weaken in any way but continued to burn bright.

This is part of our problem in the church today.

Many only tend their lamp and stoke their fire on Sundays when they go to church.  But we're supposed to be tending our lamp and stoking our fire every morning and all throughout the day. This is an ongoing problem in the Church since many do not have any spiritual vision regarding the calling in Christ. This is the difference between wrapping God around our lifestyle and God BEING our lifestyle.
