REALIZING OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

It is imperative that we realize our personal identity in Christ.  In Colossians 2:9 we discover this central fact concerning Christ Jesus:  "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."

Our outlook on life is changed as we contemplate:  "And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." (Colossians 2:10)

"You are complete," which means we lack nothing at all, as we abide in Him.  Abiding in Christ and allowing Him to flow freely out of us enables us to function with the greatest degree of success, thus fulfilling God's CALL upon our life.

Understanding our Christ identity is essential in order to obtain our divine DESTINY.

We are called to succeed in advancing the Kingdom of God on earth -- to walk in overcoming victory: "...because as He is, so are we in this world" (1 John 4:17)

Romans 6:11,13,14 - "Think of yourselves as dead to sin but alive to God in union with Christ Jesus. Nor must you surrender any part of yourselves to sin, to be used for wicked purposes.  Instead, give yourselves to God, as men who have been brought from death to life, and surrender your whole being to Him to be used for righteous purposes....you do not live under law but under God's grace."

The yielded life is essential for us to walk in the fullness of God's PURPOSE for our lives -- as we empty ourselves of the things we hold on to, allowing Him to have His perfect work within us.

PRESSING IN FOR BREAKTHROUGH

Acts 10:38 - "How God anointed Jesus....who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.."

The word "oppressed" is derived from a root word which means "press, to squeeze." The enemy is applying great pressure to cause us to go backwards. He does not desire that we "press in" for our deliverance and BREAKTHROUGH. There is also a strong attack from the enemy that would attempt to cause us to quit the race, throw in the towel, and not fulfill the things in our life that God has called us to do.

Obviously, now is the time to run hard after His heart! Now is the time to see the love of Jesus nourishing and flowing into our heart so that it can flow out into the lives of others.!

SEEKING HIS PURPOSE FOR OUR LIFE

Through Him, peace is established deep within us, causing us to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He will lead us and guide us as we ask, knock, and seek (Matthew 7:7) to understand and implement our calling in Christ! This place of trust is beyond the natural ability of a person. It comes only through a relationship with the Lord, who will lead us and bring to pass all that He has purposed for us.

"Matthew 7:8 AMP - "For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, the door will be opened."

We seek the Father and not "busyness" to keep legalistic, religious rules. As we seek to understand and carry out His PURPOSE FOR OUR LIFE and not just the benefits of "His hand," we will find that the more we know Abba Father, the more we will desire to disciple new believers into their Christ identity.

"That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His CALLING...." - Ephesians 1: 17,18

We can position our hearts to become an open portal to Heaven -- where God infuses us with His love, presence, and revelation – is flowing to us and through us as we bear fruit that remains for His Kingdom.

Like Moses' encounter with the burning bush, new direction often becomes clearer in the wilderness and DESTINY unfolds through the oddest signs along the trail.
